Bacon Avocado Grilled Cheese

Servings: 4 sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 avocados sliced
  • 4 slices of pepper jack cheese or 8 if your bread is large
  • 5-6 slices of bacon cooked
  • butter room temperature

Instructions

  • Heat an iron skillet to medium heat. If using a panini press, follow the manufacturers guidelines.
  • Layer ingredients on a slice of bread, beginning and ending with cheese. I cut my cheese slices in half so that I would have half on the bottom and half on the top. Then top with another slice of bread.
  • Spread butter on the outsides of each slice of bread.
  • Place the sandwich in the pan and cook until the bread is slightly browned. Then flip to the other side.
  • Serve warm.
