Grapefruit Thyme Moscow Mule

Ingredients

  • 2 oz good vodka
  • 2 oz Natalie's Grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz thyme simple syrup see recipe*
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Fentiman's Ginger Beer
  • Candied ginger garnish
  • thyme sprigs garnish
  • fresh grapefruit wedges. garnish

Instructions

  • In a Mule mug or tall glass, combine vodka, grapefruit juice, thyme simple syrup and lime juice.
  • Add ice and stir to chill.
  • Top with ginger beer. Stir again.
  • Garnish with candied ginger, grapefruit wedges and/or fresh thyme.

*To make Thyme Simple Syrup

  • Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add in a couple of thyme sprigs. Remove from heat. Let syrup steep for 20-30 minutes. Remove thyme and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate until ready to use.
