Pea Pod Wooden Salad Set {#junkyardfancy}

by Kimbrough

Happy Friday, Y’all!

I have been promising to add more to the Junkyard Fancy category. Lord knows, I have a ton of stuff I can feature. I have been taking it easy for these first few weeks of Summer vacation, spending time with family and friends. I just love this slower pace. I try to post daily on Instagram, but I want to keep the blog fresh, too.

Today, I pulled out this amazing vintage wooden salad bowl set.  I set up a few shots and used the Camera+ app on my  iPhone to take a few photos to share with you. I’m going legit and ordering a new FANCY camera very soon, but for now, I am fine with using my phone camera.

Look at this cool wooden serving bowl! It’s a mid-century Danish piece made in the Philippines.

It’s shaped like a pea pod. And look, it has babies!

Aren’t they cute?

I got these at a yard sale last Spring. They belonged to my friend Kimberly’s parents. I think they are crazy for getting rid of them. Their loss is my gain.

I often use the big one as a centerpiece on my dining room table. I have used the little ones to serve nuts or crackers at parties. Next time you see these, maybe they will be filled with some sort of yummy salad.
